10 Weeks & Sleeping!

The babies are 10 weeks old, and as a gift to me and their daddy they slept for 5 consecutive hours last night! After they woke up for a snack and diaper change, E fell back asleep for 4 more hours. M only made it 2. I'm certainly not complaining though; that was the best night's sleep we've gotten since before they were born.

Perhaps in an effort to prove that he, too, can make Mommy happy by sleeping, M fell asleep in the nursery crib this morning. He'd been placed in it while I tended to big brother and E out in the living room. I kept popping in to make sure he was okay, and the first two times I peeked he was staring at himself in the crib mirror, waving his arms and kicking his legs happily. The third time he wasn't moving, so I of course rushed over to make sure he was still breathing! He was fast asleep.

All three kids accompanied me to my former office today, as my coworkers wanted to meet the babies and I needed to collect the last of my belongings now that I've officially resigned to be a stay-at-home mom. They did very well. M cried a bit when we first arrived, but was soothed by Connie picking him up and snuggling him. E was happy to sit in her car seat and smile and blow bubbles at everyone. Moo had a sudden bout of shyness, but Christina fetched a couple of toy cars from the storage room (yes, toys are kept in the storage room for visiting children) and he was happy to drive them all over my desk for awhile. When he'd had enough he informed me that he was done and wanted to go home. Since it was past his naptime already, we left. It was a nice little visit.

I'm so glad they're growing up a little bit! Keep them tiny until I can make it down again, though. So cute, and such happy-tummied babies!
