Gender Identity?

During his first diaper change of the morning, Moo said to me, "I don't want to wear a dress."

"You don't want to wear a dress?" I repeated, utterly confused. When had I ever offered him a dress as a clothing alternative? Was this because E sometimes wore dresses?

"I don't want to wear a dress," he confirmed, adding, "I want to wear my 'jamas."

"Oh! You don't want to get dressed." Well, that made more sense.

Five minutes later I suggested we go out to the converted garage guest room and wake up Aunt Amy, who had spent the night. "I'm going to wake Aunt Amy!" Moo exclaimed. "I'm going out in the garage. You're not going out in the garage. Only boys can go in the garage."

Okay then.

Do the cats still sleep out there too?

The cats do sleep out there (holy terrors that they are, waking everyone up when they're inside), but they have their own corner in the garage proper, not in the guest room.
